WSET® Exams
The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET ®) is the largest wine educator in the world. WSET ® is great demand for good education and qualifications * in wine and spirits to promote. They develop courses and study materials for teachers and students, and working in the liquor or catering.
WSET ® qualifications are also added value to your CV if you are looking for a job in the professional world of wine and hospitality. Also "interested" wine lovers find their way to the WSET ® courses. The first 2 levels produce significantly more confident business people on business lunches and / or networking opportunities.
WSET ® Awards and Diplomas are the world's wine courses for standardized testing (present in 55 countries).
Up to Level 2 courses and exams in 15 different languages. The higher levels in English, the language of the wine industry and catering.
Examinations are conducted by a network of approved training providers (Approved Programme Providers, short APP's) throughout the world. WineWise Belgium is the official APP and also responsible for the Benelux WSET ® Diploma Course (Level 4 and 5).
In WineWise So you go to WSET ® exams at all levels, from start to Weinakademiker, the perfect springboard to study Master of Wine.
WSET® Level 1 Award in Wines
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 30 questions and a food and wine matching exercise.
WSET® Level 1 Award in Wine Service
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 30 questions and a role play restaurant wine service scenario.
WSET® Level 1 Award in Spirits
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 30 questions.
These exams can be done after following a WineWise Level 1 course.
These courses are mainly in-company, tailored to your company, including the exam.
Possible in Dutch, French and English. Offer on request.
WineWise also offers some open day courses at Level 1 for individual candidates.

WSET® Level 2 Award in Wine and Spirits
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 50 questions.
WSET® Level 2 Award in Wine Service
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 50 questions and a role play restaurant wine service scenario.
WSET® Level 2 Award in Spirits
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 50 questions.
These exams can be done after following a WSET® Level 2 course (exam included), a taylor made in-company training, by distance learning or in self study after following a WineWise basic course with a WineWise Trainer.
Possible in Dutch, French and English. Offer on request.
WineWise also offers some open day courses at Level 2 for individual candidates.

WSET® Level 3 Award in Wine and Spirits
You must successfully complete a multiple choice paper of 50 questions, a question paper requiring short written answers and a full written tasting note on two wines.
These exams can be done after following a WSET® Level 3 course (exam included) or by distance learning with workshops.
Course possible in Dutch and English. Exam always in English.

WSET® Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits
The Diploma qualification is unitised. A pass in all 6 Units must be obtained to gain the WSET Level 4 Diploma qualification.
These exams can be done after following a WSET® Level 4 Diploma course offered by WineWise in the Benelux.
Courses and exams only available in English.

WSET® Level 5 - Honours Diploma
This qualification is open to anyone holding the WSET Level 4 Diploma.
This single unit qualification assesses the ability of a candidate to develop and apply knowledge gained at Level 4 in significantly greater depth and present information in a format suitable for managerial-level presentation. Therefore, the submission of the research project for assessment will not be allowed until the candidate has passed the Level 4 Diploma.
Students will be required to demonstrate the application of business skills by identifying and solving problems, developing ideas in the creation of new/modified products, services or situations within the 4000 - 5000 word allocation for the project.
The candidate may also choose to make this thesis for Weinakademie Österreich and achieve the international wine title WEINAKADEMIKER.
